What happens in a session?
Clients are invited to create artwork in response to prompts, feelings or themes discussed during the session.
Creative methods are the tools of therapy used in a supportive way.
There is no right or wrong way to make something.
The focus is on the process of the creating and expressing (not the quality of the art piece).
Whatever is created is used to help reflection and communication.
Exploration Through Creative Arts Therapy.
Creative Arts Therapists use creative processes to help clients explore and express unconscious material that is often difficult to articulate in words (ANZACATA). This approach provides a supportive space for clients to explore as creativity harnesses the imagination and a sense of play, and can help those to; learn to tolerate the uncertainty of the unknown, and, become more comfortable, to be able to improvise and open up to new possibilities in their lives.

Therapeutic Arts - Using the arts to understand more of ourselves, our patterns and our experiences.
By moving our experiences through mark making, creating movement and inviting a sense of play and having fun. Through this process we can learn more about how we move through relationships. This opportunity in a safe space builds confidence, understanding, being seen and heard, and healing.
There is no right of wrong way when creating art, its about bringing a sense of play and curiosity. We are all creative!
